DOWNTOWN WESTFIELD ASSOCIATION | WESTFIELD, INDIANA
Today, a farmers’ market can come in all shapes and sizes and can include a large variety of vendors who sell meat, cheese, eggs, vegetables, clothing, cutting boards, or even baked goods and popcorn. Food safety and quality are top on our list for our guests. With many types of vendors available, here is some information about the Westfield Market vendors.
To ensure that each guest at the market has the best possible experience all vendors must submit proof of insurance, permits (if applicable), and whatever paperwork is regulated by the State of Indiana and/or Hamilton County. A copy of the paperwork is kept in a binder on-site at the market and is available to anyone.
Farmers are regulated by the EPA and IDEM. Those who raise meat by the USDA. The vendors who raise poultry and sell eggs are regulated by the state of Indiana. All prepared food vendors are regulated by the Hamilton County Health Department with periodic inspections both at their commercial kitchens and at the market. Our prepared food vendors must also maintain ServeSafe certifications to maintain the freshest and safest food for you!
