DWA oversees Party on the Patio, which highlight a Westfield business by hosting a party. Every September DWA hosts the Dinner on Union Street fundraising event.

In 2007, downtown businesses, residents, and city officials came together to envision the future of Downtown Westfield. From those meetings, the DWA was born on February 19, 2008.
